ConsumerMate is a relatively new website launched to specially cater for the electronic lifestyle of people living in India. The website offers help and advice in selection of electronic items. Currently it catalogs laptops, mobiles and TVs of renowned brands like LG, HP and Sony.
The concept, though not new, is presented through an easy to use interface. I liked the ‘GURU GYAN’ feature, a wizard which asks you the questions relating to a product and then fetches the results based on your answers. The questions are not overly technical and are designed to keep in mind what the end user wants. The choices can also be made by using the slider control presented.
Once a selection is made, an inquiry can be forwarded which is sent to the local dealers allowing them to get in touch with the buyer.
The site also hosts information articles about the technological aspects of these products and what a buyer should look out for. In short a nice resource which allows buyers to make informed decisions before they actually commit to buying a product. It would be nice if more categories are added to give the site a more diverse audience.

Chikkle is a recent entrant into the social networking web. Sign up and you get to make blog posts, write articles and start discussions. I think with so many websites it is better to start in a new community as people will get to know each other much quicker than all the thousands on other social sites.
The site is very lightweight. The current user base is around 130 but should increase given the hype of networking. Users can opt for using the Chikkle AdTouch technology which allows them to display advertisements on their pages and earn revenues. Now that is one incentive that has to attract people. Lets see if the monetary incentive can generate enough buzz to get Chikkle off the ground.

Online organizers, reminder services and souped-up online calendars are a crowded space to be in right now. But SuperMinder seems to have an edge. Obviously, people tend to forget things and need to be reminded about them periodically. If you, like me, tend to make lengthy schedules and often tend to forget the same, SuperMinder can help.
Sign up to this service and receive reminders via email or SMS. To be honest the interface is a little tricky at first but once you get the hang of the web site, you won’t have any problems setting up the reminders. The look and feel is more of a desktop application than a web one (there is a quit button instead of the usual logout). Make sure you set the settings first so that you can easily add the reminders. The reminders can be scheduled as a one off thing or of a periodic nature.
It might help to include more information for potential users up front. At the moment you cannot see anything but the front page unless you sign up.

I recently found this website which converts any page on the Internet to a PDF document. There are numerous advantages of this service. You may have noticed that when you save a web page a lot of files are downloaded and kept in folders which obviously are a pain to maintain. Well all those are replaced with a single PDF document which can be easily stored and shared.
You will lose the dynamic nature of the page but if you are storing informational articles, I would consider a PDF to be the way to go. The site is totally free and conversion is as easy as putting the URL of the page and pressing the ‘Make PDF’ button.
Hope they can monetize it successfully as the service definitely has potential.

The web has made it easier for businesses and professionals to reach potential and existing customers in fast and cheaply. The web allows for quick feedback on your product and service, which means as a business it’s easier to accurately target resources. Paxonta is a service which helps people to develop surveys easily to do just that.
The site employs a user friendly interface providing templates for survey making. This allows users to focus on the content rather than the design of the survey. Once the survey is made, it can be published and after people have taken it, the results can be analyzed using graphs or charts. The service is in beta and provides free accounts as well as paid ones.

A great idea; letting experts pick your clothes for you. The service allows men to get in contact with a Trunk Club expert and discuss with them their tastes which in turn allow them to get recommendations from the TC expert on which clothes to buy. The service even buys and delivers the clothes to the customers.
Here’s what you have to do. Sign up and you will have a TC expert contact you. Then its either emailing back and forth or setting up a video conference. The TC representative will then recommend a wardrobe for you which you can try and if you find something useful, keep that and pay for it. Simple, ain’t it?
So if you are looking for some professional advice in picking clothes that look good on you, give Trunk Club a try.
